Ezekiel 36:25-27 (NLT)
This verse was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost when Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit. We were given a new heart that would desire to do ALL the ways of God and to follow His decrees.
Therefore, If He puts His Spirit in us so that we will desire to follow His decrees and obey Him. Doesn't it seem odd that we do so many things that have no foundation the ways of God, but reflect the heart of the pagan lifestyle we used to live, following after the ways of this world?
While we may have the Spirit of God within us and a desire to follow His decrees, nothing happens if we don't fan the flames of our own PASSION to follow after Him. If we truly have the heart to pursue the ways of God, then it is our PASSION that gives us the drive and motivation to take action to seek His ways as they are found in the Bible and make them part of our daily life. Without passion we simply sit by saying praise the Lord and letting the old nature carry us along and living in our old traditions of men.
Consider what Jesus said about this to the Church in Ephesus.
Revelation 2:1-7 (NLT)
This letter is to those in the Church today that have let their PASSION fade. The PASSION or LOVE we have toward God is our responsibility to keep on fire. When a couple starts dating each one puts effort into fanning the flames of passion to keep that relationship growing. They get married, but if they don't continue to fan those flames that bought them together, over time the flame of passion fades, the ways of the world (traditions of men) creep in and eventually the marriage falls apart. It is only through the pursuit of passion that the heart stays on fire.
Jesus is warning us that ignoring our PASSION for Him can eventually lead to Him removing us from His body. In Matthew 25 we see it in the five foolish virgins who are left behind, because they did not have the PASSION to prepare, thinking they had enough oil and in the servant who hid His masters gift in the ground, because he did not have the PASSION to truly know his master, thinking he was a tyrant and was eventually cast into the outer darkness. None of us wants to be left behind, but it can happen if we let our PASSION fade.
Ask yourself, are you passionate about truly seeking the ways of God, or are you simply living the traditions of men, hoping you will get by?

Live in God's LOVE!
Sukkot, The Festival of Tabernacles runs Oct 9-15. It is believed that Sukkot is the true celebration of Christ's birth. Since God established these "Feasts of the Lord" and this festival celebrates Christ's birth, this year setup a small shelter or manger scene and celebrate Christmas as God intended. Not as the world does by setting up a Christmas tree and putting gifts under that, which is actually worshiping the pagan goddess Asherah. Something God said not to do in Deut. 12:2-4. We may not be under the law, but God said it for a reason. Shouldn't we as HIS followers want to do things HIS way and have nothing to do with the ways of this world? Instead of worshiping Asherah by putting gifts under a tree, why not worship Christ by put your gifts before HIM instead? (James 4:4-10, 1 John 2:15-17)
Then if you want, leave it up until the end of the year as a declaration that you worship the truth, not the world.
Live In God's Love!
The book of Revelation has an alarming warning for those who cling to a certain traditional belief in the book of Revelation and ignoring or denying it does not mean it will go away. Are you brave enough to challenge Biblical traditions?
Of all the books in the Bible, the book of Revelation is the only book that:
1. is attributed as Jesus' own personal testimony
2. has a blessing for those who read it.
3. has a specific and unavoidable judgment for those who abuse it.
If you haven't read lessons # 1 & 2, go back and do it now! You will need it for this lesson. Click "Basics" in the Category list to find them.
When you look at the book of Revelation what do you see?
Confusion, Conflict, Repetition and Complexity that doesn't make any sense
Or do you think you've got it all figured out in spite of all the confusion?
I Cor 4:33 says that God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.
Therefore, the book of Revelation should be easy to understand.
So, why do we have such a problem with the book of Revelation and how do we make it simple?
Do you remember what was said in lesson # 2? In the mid 1800's, 100 years before the book of Daniel was unsealed, Bible Scholars were looking for a way to better understand the book of Revelation. They thought they found it in Daniel 9:27.
Dan 9:27 (NLT)
During that time period the book of Daniel was sealed and a secret, so there was no way they could understood that what they were about to do would violate TWO commandments in the word of God.
They knew there was a period of seven years (one week) yet to be fulfilled from the prophecy of Daniel 9 and they came up with an idea. They noticed a reference to 42 or 3 1/2 years mentioned in the story of the Trumpets and even though there was no reference to time in the story of the Bowls they took this one verse and added it to the book of Revelation stretching it across the 7 Trumpets saying they were the first 3 1/2 years and the 7 Bowls of Wrath were the second 3 1/2 years creating what we know today as the Seven-Year Tribulation and used the "after half this time (midst of the week)" to explain the gap between those two periods (or stories).
All of this seems to make sense, except for two very important commandments. Doing this not only violated the commandment of Daniel 12:4 being sealed, it also violated the commandment of Rev 22:18, 19.
Dan 12:4 (NLT)
God knew what man was going to do in the 1800's, therefore he placed these commandments (Daniel 12:4 and Revelation 22:18,19) in the scriptures as a warning not to do the very thing they did anyway. In fact, God knew how popular this doctrine would become and how it would corrupt and confuse the teachings of Jesus' testimony not only in the book of Revelation, but also our understanding of prophecy throughout the Bible. Therefore, He placed very explicit judgments in this scripture when the Lord solemnly declared, if anyone adds anything to the book of Revelation, God is going to add to that person the plagues described in His book. The use of this word "solemnly" is a legal term to give testimony in a legal context that he is being very serious, somber and saying that NO ONE who violates this command is going to get around it,
There is a principal repeated throughout the Bible, which teaches if anyone receives a teaching and accept it as truth they connect themselves to that teaching and are then judged the same as the originator of that teaching. Eve believed what Satan said and ate of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But Adam knowing it was wrong followed and they both fell, breaking their connection with God and connecting themselves to Satan.
When these scholars added Daniel 9:27 to the book of Revelation they violated these commandments and became subject to this judgment. In the same way anyone who accepts and believes in this teaching of a Seven-Year Tribulation they are connecting themselves to this judgment as well. This one teaching of a Seven-Year Tribulation has released many erroneous teachings into the church that has created nothing but confusion and conflict. (We will go through some of these in future lessons.) But the truly unfortunate result of believing in a Seven-Year Tribulation is not the confusion and conflict it has created, but rather the judgment that has been declared upon all those who believe it.
Stop and think about this for a minute:
Please remember these are just the Basics. I can go into much more detail, but I am trying to keep these short and to the point.
I am going to say it again: God knew what was going to happen in the mid 1800's and He knows the power of traditions in our lives and our stubbornness to change even in the face of the truth. So, He was forced to placed these two commandments in the Bible in the hopes that some of those who believed this deception would be humble enough to look at the evidence and choose the truth of the word of God.
Therefore, the more terrifying revelation is not that these commandments were broken, but that those who were deceived by a Seven-Year Tribulation disqualified themselves from the Rapture of the Bride of Christ and would wake up, repent and turn to the truth.
Most of the Church has no idea what they doing by believing in a Seven-Year Tribulation and are not prepared for the consequences of that decision. Even after what was just revealed, many will harden their hearts and cling to their traditions in spite of the fact that it violates the commandment of God and God will have no choice but to execute this judgment in their life.
This is the shaking that must happen in the last days within the Church. This is the Final Restoration, bringing unity in our faith and knowledge of Jesus' Christ in Eph 4:13-15, the book of Revelation (Rev. 19:10) and prophecy throughout the Bible, restoring all things (Acts 3:21). This is the calling and purpose of this Ministry. Remember the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13? They were all virgins ("Saved"), but the foolish ones were left behind. For those who are willing to exam these things in light of scriptures, they will be found wise and prepared for the Rapture of the Bride. For those who harden their hearts and are unwilling to repent, they will be found foolish, unprepared, and left behind to be judged according to these commandments to suffer the plagues of the Tribulation.
There is a better way
that keeps these commandments
and makes the book of Revelation
simple to understand!
One that removes
all the confusion,
all the conflicts,
all the complexity,
and all the repetitions
that a Seven-Year Tribulation created.
I'll explain how in the next: Just the Basics # 4
Make plans now and don't miss my message: The Sixth Seal at Tree of Life Church on October 5th, 2014. It will transform and prepare you for the events of the last days. There are still many events that MUST happen before the Rapture can occur. Come and discover what you are missing out on!

We MUST get this word out before it is too late.
We are now in the midnight hour and the Church must awaken to these truths.
For the Record:
For more than 150 years much of the church has believed in a Seven-Year Tribulation and that tradition is so rooted in the church it has taken on a life of its own. Those who believe can't imagine things being any different and are often unwilling to consider any alternative. The truth is there is an alternative and it is solidly rooted in the truth of scriptures. If one is willing to give it a chance and prove it out for themselves, they will find it will makes immensely more sense than that old tradition. The challenge is to be willing to put ones tradition to the test. If it can stand up against the truth of scripture, wonderful. But if the tradition falls, be willing to let go of it. There is absolutely no Biblical support for a Seven-Year Tribulation ANYWHERE in the Bible and any attempt to create one requires breaking these two commandments. The Bible as a whole agrees with and teaches a Tribulation of only 3 1/2 years and if you keep an open mind reading these lessons you will discover the truth of that.
Consider this: Is it important for Christians to obey the commandments of God in the Bible?
Most Christians would answer, absolutely, yes!
Now, if the above is true, what does Daniel 12:4 mean to us today?
Dan 12:4 (NLT)
In this single verse God is establishing a commandment that the book Daniel would be closed and remain sealed and classified secret until the last days when knowledge and travel would be greatly increased.
Both words sealed and secret imply the same meaning to keep something shut and inaccessible until an appointed time.
Remember from "Just the Basics # 1" the more times something is repeated the more important it is, When Jesus said the word; "verily," He was implying that something was important. When He said; "verily, verily" twice He was saying that something was very important. Therefore, the use of both these words “Sealed” and “Secret” implies that this commandment is very important. We should both heed its warning and be cautious about violations or else we fall into deception.
What does that mean? Because this book was sealed any attempt use the book of Daniel to create any teaching before that appointed time would result in an erroneous doctrine and a Tradition of Men (a deception), which would create confusion and violate this commandment.
So, when was the book of Daniel finally opened?
It wasn't until the 1950's, which brought with it the advent of the computer and international travel, that the seal on the book of Daniel was removed.
Unfortunately, there are far too many teachings from the book of Daniel that were established before that time and are now accepted as doctrine in the Church when they should be considered suspect as erroneous and deceptive.
So, what happened?
I'll tell you in the next "Just the Basics # 3."
Live in God's Love!
Have you ever noticed that the story of creation is told twice in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2?
(If not, look really close at Genesis 2:4.)
There is a reason for that. Each story is told from a different perspective but at the same time tells the same story.
There is a principal in the Bible known as: The Law of First Mention.
Which establishes foundational procedures that when a word or principal is first mentioned or used in the Bible that context establishes its use throughout the rest of the Bible.
God is telling us right in the beginning that the Bible was designed to be studied in parallel by putting stories side-by-side, but most people look at it with a linear (straight, single story) point of view and miss massive amounts of revelation.
This principal can be seen throughout the Bible. In the books of the Law and the Prophets. In the Four Gospels and in the Epistles.
A basic tenet of this principal is that the more times something is repeated the more important it is.
Once this principal is understood all confusion and conflict throughout the Bible disappears.
That is what I teach. How to see the Bible in parallel.
